Andy'sWIR-2016I’d like to start this week’s blog by thanking Andrew Harrow and his fabulous team at Baxter Personnel, who hosted us in their box last weekend when Middlesbrough played Nottingham Forest.

I must say, the hospitality and company was much better than the performance on the pitch, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with my Dad, and I hope Andrew catches this blog before his flight back from Cardiff.

It was also a welcome surprise to be presented with a very nice framed certificate, as Jak Inc is now an official (and proud!) supporter of the MFC Foundation, who raise aspirations within our community through sport, education and health. A good day all round!

On Monday, I was back at our new London office, and managed two appointments with potential web clients, before attending a networking event on the evening. Alex (our Social Media Executive and all-round good egg) joined me on Tuesday for his first ever visit to London, so after a busy day at the office we headed to the Shard for a stunning aerial view of the capital and some much-needed downtime.

More appointments on Wednesday, plus interviews for potential new staff members, made for a great few days.

Alex says of his visit:

“It’s taken me 22 years to finally see London, but it didn’t disappoint. Not only is our new office absolutely fantastic (and definitely the ideal place for stealing away for a day or two to get some work done), but the locale is exactly what you’d expect from a thriving business community.

It’s busy and it’s fast-paced, but it’s all the more exciting for it!”

I rejoined the team in Chester-le-Street on Thursday, and could really feel the energy after a busy few days. There’s been loads of jobs spinning through the team, including some brilliant website projects. More on those in the future.

We’re also in the process of bringing some brand new printing products to the market through our trade platform fullcolourcards.com (and also jakprint.co.uk). New products include an enormously expanded range of business cards, including shaped cards, foil cards, plastic cards and mini business cards (similar to those offered at moo.com).

There’s also new flags, banners and more, so check it out!

Coming soon, though not available just yet, will be a large choice of promotional products like pens, mouse mats, mugs, as well as printed t-shirts and the like, which means that Jak Inc will truly be your one-stop solution for websites, design and print.

Have a great weekend!

Anything is possible,
Andy Knowles
