Andy'sWIR-2016Hello!

I’m currently writing on a train, heading back from bonnie Scotland after a very productive client meeting. It’s a while since I’ve been up this way, and there probably aren’t many better views to take in whilst I kick back with some Oasis tap away at the keyboard.

Its been another big week of new business wins – especially for our Jak Inc brand, which has booked in plenty of work to keep the design team busy, including a new website for a funeral planning specialist in Darlington, and a creative project for a national ‘Eat Well’ campaign, supported with printing material and printed water bottles. It’s a great message to be a part of, and I can’t wait to showcase the designs once they’re completed.

Love must be in the air as well, as Bill & Ben The Cartoon Men has spiked significantly over the last few days. Don’t forget that if you want to order a caricature in time for Valentine’s Day, Monday is the last day to place your order to get get them in time! Prices start from £20, and they are a great gift idea which always gets people coming back time and time again.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, have you seen the article on In & Around Online regarding Virgin Trains latest offer? Fred Sirieix, host of TV’s ‘First Dates’, is holding an extremely unique journey from King’s Cross to York on the 14th, where passengers will be treated to a first class speed dating event. I love this kind of creativity, as it’s one of those things that puts a really unique spin on your usual PR stunts.

Rugby’s greatest championship kicks off tomorrow with France v Italy and Scotland v England in the RBS Six Nations. This should be a great test for England, especially after their recent world cup display. Will you be watching?

Closer to my heart, Middlesbrough face Blackburn tomorrow, as Jordan Rhodes makes his debut (who – ironically – signed from Blackburn in a nervous last-minute £9 million deal, which fans in Teesside thought wasn’t going to happen). What are the chances of him scoring tomorrow? As Jimmy Greaves once said… football’s a funny old game.

Have a tip top weekend!

Anything is possible,
